Sri Tangala Wadeyaru Mannur

Saint name: Govind Wadeyar and popularly known as Tangala Wadeyaru.

Time Frame: Same time period as Sri Raghunath Teertharu of Uttaradimatha

Moola Brindavana Place: Mannur (Adjecent to Mool Brindavana of Sri Madhav Teerth and Sri Vedesh Teerth).

History:

Sri Govind Wadeyaru were a great saint of Sadhana through Tapassu. We dont have much reference to their work, time period, life span and brindavana dates etc though, but the story of them was very popular in Mannur as told by Mr. Madhav Kulkarni ( born in Mannur ).

The saint used to follow Yati Bhiksha in Manipura(now called as Mannur), and after collecting Bheeksha they used to reach banks of River Bheema and dip the Bheekha Jolige into the water and do prayers, as soon as they finish their prayers the collected Bheeksha turns into a fresh food that they are required to eat that day and with rich freshness and hotness.

After, several times people thinking what they do in river once they collect Bheeksha they could find this miracle or their sadhana. Thus, they found a name to them known as "Tangala Wadeyaru".

Tangala (kannada word) means "old food item or food items that are older than 3 hours post cooking"

When is Aaradhana?

Since, less information available about their time period, based on saints directions their aaradhana is recognized on Uttara-aaradhana of Sri Vedesh Teertharu (i.e on Sharad Rutu, Karthik Masa, Shukla Paksha Asthami).
